Today former DragonForce frontman ZP Theart releases the long-awaited acoustic studio recording of “Trail of Broken Hearts”.
Originally performed live acoustically on the CHAOS radio show with bassist Frédéric Leclercq back in 2006 during the Inhuman Rampage era, the track has remained a favorite among fans but was never properly captured in studio quality, until now. The new version brings the song to life with the clarity and depth it always deserved.
The release comes with a brand-new music video that captures the same intimate spirit. Shot in a near pitch black setting with only warm, moody lighting, the visual focuses solely on ZP and an acoustic guitar. His performance is mind-blowing in both tone and power, reminding the metal world exactly why his voice defined a generation of power metal. This track marks Theart’s fourth studio release of 2026. He is back, he is in peak form, and he is absolutely not stopping.
